The actor, beloved for his witty performances in Yoruba films and his signature mix of English, Yoruba, and Ekiti dialect, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, while undergoing treatment at a hospital.
According to close colleagues, complications from medication led to Okemesi falling into a coma, and he could not recover.
His friend, Tony Montana, confirmed the sad news via Instagram, saying the actor’s body had been taken to the morgue and promising to share further arrangements with fans.
