Nigerian music producer Samklef has weighed in on the controversy surrounding singer Crayon and Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy.

The situation began after Crayon, who joined the label in 2019, made a series of social media posts accusing Don Jazzy of owing him royalties and blaming the music executive for personal struggles, including the death of his mother. The posts were later deleted.

Reacting to the drama online, Samklef suggested that the developments around the label were not surprising. He also hinted that things may have changed for Don Jazzy in recent times, referencing his recent association with social media activist VeryDarkMan.

Samklef further made remarks about the current state of the label and its artistes, including Ayra Starr, while questioning what might be happening behind the scenes at the record company.
