Veteran Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has revealed that she underwent a medical procedure 26 years ago to prevent having more children.

Speaking on her YouTube channel, the actress said she chose to have her fallopian tubes tied because she did not want a large family, despite her former husband’s desire for more children.

“My ex-husband had to beg me to have another one. I didn’t want a lot of children. I wanted to stop,” she said.

Bello explained that the procedure permanently stopped her chances of getting pregnant and emphasised that the decision aligned with the kind of family she always wanted.

She added that if she ever becomes pregnant again, she would consider it a miracle.
