Tinubu Reveals Nigeria Is Getting Outside Support to Fight Insecurity
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu says Nigeria is no longer handling its security challenges alone, disclosing that the country is now receiving support from foreign partners to tackle terrorism and banditry.
He shared this in his Easter message, where he acknowledged that despite efforts by the military, attacks are still happening in parts of the country. According to him, bringing in external support is part of the strategy to strengthen ongoing operations and push back against armed groups.
He didn’t go into details about which countries are involved, but made it clear that the collaboration is already in motion.
Tinubu also tried to reassure Nigerians that things are improving, noting that security chiefs have given updates showing progress, even if it’s not yet fully visible on the ground.
At the same time, he called on citizens to play their part by supporting security agencies and avoiding actions that could worsen tensions.
He briefly touched on the economy too, admitting that things are tough for many people right now, but insisted the changes being made are necessary.
