Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has reacted strongly to a viral post that accused him of being involved in a scandal with actress Bambam.

The rumours began after a controversial tweet claimed Bambam’s marriage ended because she was allegedly pregnant for a colleague she recently worked with in a movie. The post quickly spread across social media and sparked heated conversations online.

Although the tweet did not directly mention Uzor’s name at first, many users linked the story to him because he played Bambam’s husband (“Odogwu”) in a recent film.

In response, Uzor took to social media to clear the air. He described the claims as false and baseless, saying a particular account was deliberately spreading lies about his professional relationship with a colleague in the industry.

Without mentioning the account, the actor warned that such behaviour would not go unchallenged. He added that the person responsible would be used as an example so others would learn to respect boundaries and stop damaging people’s reputations for attention and online money.

Bambam, who rose to fame after Big Brother Naija, has built a steady acting career in Nollywood and is married with a child. Uzor Arukwe is also one of the industry’s fast-rising actors, known for playing romantic and family roles in movies.
Their on-screen chemistry in a recent film made fans talk, but neither of them had ever suggested anything beyond a professional working relationship, until the damaging rumour surfaced.

For now, Uzor’s statement has shifted the conversation, with many fans calling for responsible use of social media and an end to unverified accusations against public figures.
