Afrobeats star Michael Adebayo Olayinka, known as Ruger, has said financial stability is not a requirement he looks for in a partner because he is already wealthy.

Speaking during a recent livestream with media influencer and streamer Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel, popularly known as Shank Comics, Ruger said he has dated women who were unemployed and, in his words, lazy.

"A woman's financial status doesn't matter to me. I am rich. I have dated girls who didn't make money before. They just sleep and wake up," he said.

Asked what he does look for, Ruger said his ideal woman is 'funny'. He added that he is looking to settle down soon, citing the lack of home-cooked meals as part of his motivation.

"I keep ordering takeout because there is no one at home to cook for me. That's one of the reasons I want to settle down," he said.
