Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has revealed that she welcomed a baby girl two years ago, ending speculation by sharing maternity photos on her birthday.

The actress posted the announcement on Instagram on Saturday, June 7, 2026, saying she chose to keep the birth private to protect her peace. She described her daughter, Baby Sal, as her “answered prayer” and evidence that “God still writes beautiful stories in His own time.”

Adunni said the pregnancy came with “silent battles” and moments that tested her. She and her partner decided on privacy because “not everything good needs an audience.” She added: “We wanted to enjoy our blessing.”

She addressed assumptions about single mothers, stating: “Not every story is scandal. Not every blessing comes with drama attached.” She stressed that “no single home is or was broken in the making of our Baby Sal.”

The actress noted the journey to motherhood took “almost a decade.” Baby Sal is her third child. She already has two sons, Ayden Young and D’Marion Young, from a previous relationship with Michael Boyd.
