Kehinde Adegbodu, the twin brother of the late Nigerian gospel singer Taiwo Adegbodu, has cried out after armed robbers attacked his family home.

The incident happened just eight days after Taiwo’s burial. Robbers invaded the house while Kehinde was away, targeting him and items linked to his late brother.

They asked for Kehinde’s whereabouts, Taiwo’s room, jewellery, phone, car key and other valuables. The robbers spent over 45 minutes in the home, carting away cash, all of Taiwo’s wife’s clothes and other valuables.

Kehinde revealed that the attackers believed the money raised by Yinka Ayefele for the family was still in the house. He explained that the donations had already been used to develop a building project for Taiwo’s burial.

In a video, Kehinde said his sister-in-law called him with a shaking voice while the robbery was ongoing. One of the robbers even called their boss to report that Kehinde was not around.

The family is now living in fear. Kehinde noted that the children are scared to sleep in the house since the attack.

He pleaded with the robbers not to harm the children. Kehinde stressed that he lives a simple life on the road, has no money, and the car they use was a gift. He plans to post his account balance to prove there is nothing left.
