Ghanaian fashion personality Nana Akua Addo has been hospitalised after videos showing her with visible facial injuries surfaced online, sparking allegations of domestic violence involving her husband, Harold Duodu Norman.

Footage circulating on social media shows Addo receiving medical treatment with injuries visible around her face. The circumstances surrounding the injuries have not been independently established, while reports linking them to an alleged altercation with Norman have continued to circulate.

Addo has not publicly given a detailed account of the incident. However, she reportedly asked for one of the videos to be removed, appealing to those sharing it to consider the effect of the footage on her daughters.

The case has since moved beyond social media, with lawyers representing Norman responding to the allegations. The legal team disputed the narrative being circulated online and said the matter is being investigated by Ghana’s Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU).

Norman’s lawyers also referred to an ongoing civil case involving the couple, identified as Rosemond Akua Adobea vrs Harold Duodu Norman, Suit No. DM/0607/2026.

The lawyers further made allegations concerning previous disputes between the couple, including a 2021 incident in which they claimed Addo attempted to attack Norman with a knife. They also alleged that earlier domestic disputes had been reported to the police before complaints were withdrawn.

Those claims have not been independently verified.

Reports have also emerged that Norman was taken into police custody following the incident, although an official statement from the Ghana Police Service confirming his arrest had not been publicly released at the time of reporting.

Addo’s friend Kate has also spoken about the situation, claiming she had previously encouraged the fashion personality to leave the marriage. Another media personality, Afia Schwarzenegger, said she had additional footage relating to the controversy.

The latest allegations come years after Addo publicly discussed marital problems involving infidelity. In 2021, she acknowledged that her husband had been unfaithful and said the couple sought counselling and worked through the issue.

Addo and Norman later formalised their relationship in a private civil ceremony in March 2022. The current allegations remain subject to investigation, while accounts from both sides continue to emerge as authorities and the courts consider the matter.
