Omah Lay Returns with New Album, Says He’s at the Top of His Game
Omah Lay is back with a new album, Clarity of Mind, and from the sound of it, he’s in a very different headspace.
The project, which just dropped across streaming platforms, leans more into his thoughts and emotions than just chasing hits. It’s softer in parts, deeper in others, basically Omah Lay trying to make sense of himself, not just the music.
If you’ve followed him since 2020, you can hear the shift. Back then, it was more about the vibe. Now, it feels more personal, like he’s letting people into what’s really going on in his mind.
But beyond the music, he’s also saying what a lot of artists won’t say out loud. Omah Lay believes he’s one of the best to come out of Nigeria in the last 20 years. In his words, only Burna Boy comes close.
