Tiwa Savage Explains Why She Works More With Male Artists Over Female Peers
Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has spoken out about why she prefers collaborating with male artists like Odumodublvck instead of female singers.
Speaking in a recent interview, the award-winning musician addressed complaints from fans who want to see her collaborate more with women in the music industry. Savage explained that her choice comes down to business strategy and promotional support.
According to the singer, past songs she recorded with female colleagues failed to get proper backing from the featured artists themselves.
"When I feature female artists they don't promote the songs," Savage said. "So when I feature Odumodublvck, knowing it'll give me millions of streams, they start complaining."
Savage also rejected claims that she harbors rivalries with other women in Nigerian music. She pointed out that whenever the public tried to manufacture beef between her and other female stars, she actively worked to shut down the rumors.
"When they pitted me against Yemi Alade, I brought her on my show," she noted. "When they pitted me against Ayra Starr, I made a song with her."
Her comments have reignited conversations online about female support, music promotion, and streaming success within the Afrobeats industry.
