Waje and Shoday team up on ‘The Four’ Soundtrack ‘My Sunshine’
Nigerian singers Waje and Shoday have released “My Sunshine,” an original soundtrack from Funke Akindele’s upcoming film The Four: No One Fights Alone.
The song brings together the two artistes, who also play mother and son in the film. Waje portrays Esosa, while Shoday plays her son, Obaloluwa. Their relationship is central to the film’s story and underpins the song’s focus on a mother’s love and sacrifice.
“My Sunshine” is now available on streaming platforms, with its official music video released on YouTube via FAAN_TV. The track is the latest soundtrack connected to The Four, following “Ore Mi,” which featured Funke Akindele, Waje, Bisola Aiyeola and Chioma Akpotha and was released in September.
The Four: No One Fights Alone follows Esosa and three women as they fight to secure the future of a young man they love. Set between the Odu community and Lagos, the film explores friendship, motherhood, courage and loyalty as the women face challenges that put their relationships under pressure.
The film features Funke Akindele, Waje, Shoday, Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Ali Nuhu, Uzor Arukwe, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Antar Laniyan and Wunmi Toriola, alongside Samuel Banks, Kolapo Omotosho and Ayomide Iwasokun.
Akindele directed and produced the film through Funke Akindele Network, with FilmOne Entertainment handling its distribution. The Four: No One Fights Alone is scheduled to open in cinemas on December 11, 2026.
The project also marks Shoday’s appearance in ‘The Four’ which was announced in August as his acting debut, with the singer joining Waje and an ensemble cast for the December release.
