Veteran producer Wale Adenuga has dismissed claims of neglect and financial hardship made by actor Abiodun Ayoyinka.

Ayoyinka, known for his role as Papa Ajasco, had earlier said he was struggling financially and needed permission to use the character.

In response, Adenuga described the claims as misleading, stating there is no fallout between them and that the actor is free to take other jobs. However, he clarified that using the “Papa Ajasco” brand requires approval as it is copyrighted.

He also questioned the actor’s financial situation, noting his past earnings from acting and a long civil service career.

Adenuga added that the production only runs for a few weeks each year, giving actors time to pursue other opportunities, and reaffirmed his company’s commitment to fair treatment of its artistes.
