Afrobeats superstar Wizkid has reached another major career milestone after surpassing 11 billion streams on Spotify across all song credits.

The achievement makes the Nigerian singer the first African artiste to hit the mark on the global streaming platform, further cementing his influence in the international music scene.

Reports shared by music tracking platforms showed that Wizkid now holds the record for every major Spotify streaming milestone achieved by an African artiste, from one billion streams up to 11 billion.

The latest feat comes shortly after the release of State of Mind, his recent collaboration with DJ Tunez. The song reportedly recorded hundreds of thousands of streams within its first day on Spotify.

Fans and music lovers across social media have continued to celebrate the accomplishment, with many praising Wizkid’s role in pushing Afrobeats to a wider global audience.
