Grammy-nominated Afrobeats star Wizkid, born Ayodeji Balogun, will headline the opening night of Detty December Fest 2026. 

Wizkid is billed to perform on Friday, December 18, at 6 p.m. at the Detty December Village in Lagos, kicking off the festival's 13-day run through December 30. This year's edition expands to two stages for the first time, with Wizkid topping the main Festival Stage while a newly introduced Pulse Stage is set aside for emerging artists and breakthrough talent.

Ticket prices for the opening concert range from ₦50,000 for General Access to ₦150,000 for Golden Circle and ₦300,000 for VIP Standing, with tables available on request through the event's concierge service. Organisers say more headline acts will be announced in the coming weeks.

The 2026 edition builds on the festival's debut last December, which drew more than 40,000 attendees to Lagos and featured a lineup including Busta Rhymes, Gunna, Tiwa Savage, Shenseea, Diamond Platnumz, Phyno, Wande Coal, Fave, Young John, Qing Madi and Ice Prince. The festival is produced by Livespot360, the entertainment company behind Cardi B's first-ever performances in Nigeria and Ghana.
