Zlatan And Davita Announce Wedding Celebration, Months After Denying They Were Married
Nigerian singer Zlatan Ibile and his longtime partner, Davita, have announced plans for a wedding celebration, months after the singer denied they were married and their private civil wedding later became public.
The announcement came in a video filmed aboard a private jet en route to Soso Soberekon's wedding, with Teni, Toke Makinwa and other guests on board. In the clip, Teni introduced Davita as Zlatan's wife and announced the couple would be having their wedding. Davita then invited those present to attend, laughing off a question about whether the invitation extended to fans watching online.
The announcement follows months of speculation. In January, Zlatan denied claims that Davita was his wife, insisting she was only the mother of his children.
By March, speculation resurfaced after the couple shared family photos showing matching rings, and Davita began using Zlatan's surname, Omoniyi, on Instagram.
In May, a wedding decorator leaked photos and videos revealing the couple had quietly held a private civil wedding in December 2025, attended only by close family. Neither Zlatan nor Davita confirmed it at the time.
The couple share two sons, Shiloh, born in March 2021, and Benaiah, born in 2024.
Zlatan has been publicly supportive of Davita in recent years, including attending her master's graduation from the University of Birmingham in 2025 and surprising her with a Mercedes-Benz for her birthday.
