Kunle Remi Speaks on Fuel Crisis, Says Nigerians Can’t Keep “Sitting on the Fence”
Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has voiced strong concerns over Nigeria’s worsening fuel and energy situation, describing the rising cost of living and unstable power supply as mentally exhausting for citizens and businesses.
In a candid post shared on Instagram, the actor said he usually avoids political conversations publicly, but believes Nigerians can no longer remain silent as economic pressure continues to bite harder.
He argued that the country’s challenges, especially fuel scarcity, rising diesel prices, and unreliable electricity, are affecting everyday survival, including transportation and small business operations.
According to him, the situation has become personal, noting that even his staff struggle to commute due to higher transport fares, while his household continues to rely heavily on generators because of poor power supply.
He also criticised what he described as Nigeria’s overdependence on a single functional refinery, questioning why other facilities remain inactive despite the country’s energy needs.
Kunle did not hold back his frustration, saying the constant financial strain is beginning to take a toll on his mental and emotional wellbeing.
He further questioned public figures who defend the current state of affairs without acknowledging the hardship many Nigerians are facing, insisting that silence or neutrality is no longer an option.
The actor’s comments add to growing public concern over fuel price instability and power challenges that continue to affect households and businesses across the country.
